Monday 4 July 2022 Platinum School Games Mark Award We are delighted to announce that we, Frithville Primary School, have achieved the School Games “Platinum Level” Mark Award for the 2021/22 academic year. The Gold level has been the highest previous level that we have achieved… The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward and recognise school’s engagement (provision and uptake) in the School Games against a national benchmark and to celebrate keeping young people active, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success. We are extremely proud of our children for their dedication to all aspects of physical activity and school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our events possible. We have been and will continue be committed to using the School Games to try and engage those young people who haven’t previously been active or represented our school and to try and ensure that all our chi

Well done all of you.

Monday 29 November 2021 E-Safety Article - The War on Video Games… There's a really good article summarizing some of these issues along with some advice for parents HERE. It’s not necessarily the playing of video games that’s the issue, it’s the age appropriateness that is our main concern.

Monday 29 November 2021 Children In Need Last Friday we had an amazing day of activities raising money for Children in Need. A huge thank you to everyone for taking part and donating to a very worthy cause and we did have a very special visitor – Tigger in the morning, but who was this? As you know this term’s value is Generosity… We raised a wonderful £40.77. Thank you.

This can bring up all sorts of safeguarding issues and difficult questions… In the run up to Christmas I would like to remind parents of PEGI. PEGI helps parents to make informed decisions when buying video games. PEGI provides age classifications for video games.
